AFPAC supports our 25 athletics programs through our volunteer board of directors and committees that make our outreach possible.
WORK WITH A COMMITTEE, MAKE A VALUABLE CONTRIBUTION!
Contributing your time to a committee allows you to flex your time, talent, and interests in our athletics programs and the booster club. Committee members work with committee chairs to develop ideas, plan events, and get stuff done!
When you give your time to our committees, you are expanding the capacity of AFPAC to serve our student athletes, teams, and community. You learn more about how the booster club works to support our school and how much value there is to interscholastic athletics.
Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee works in the community to raise awareness for our athletics program by developing community relationships, sales of sponsor packages, and sponsor recognition. We work year-round to bring in sponsorships and to make sure our sponsors are recognized for their contributions to our athletics program. A sampling of how you can help:
Work with the committee chairs on a regular basis
Assist with identification and recruitment of corporate sponsors; meet with businesses and present current year sponsor packages.
Coordinate the creation of sponsor banners and plaques; assist with hanging those on the AFHS campus (stadium, gymnasium, tennis courts and baseball/softball fields).
Organize AFPAC's annual Sponsor Appreciation Night, typically held in January.
Golf Tournament Committee
The AFPAC Golf Tournament is going into its third successful year! The Committee works from January through April to organize, advertise, and manage the event, which is typically held in late April. Volunteers should plan to be at the event for the full day.
Attend regular committee meetings beginning in January and running through the event date itself.
Work to recruit hole sponsors.
Reach out to local companies for raffle items.
Be available the day of the tournament to assist with set up and to kick off the event.
Committee members are able to participate in the golf tournament!
Membership Committee
Our Membership Committee makes sure our community knows about all the benefits that joining AFPAC brings for both a member and for our AFHS Athletics program. The time commitment is variable, and most of the work is done in the late summer and into the fall.
Work with the committee chair at the end of the school year to plan and prepare for the upcoming school year.
Represent AFPAC at school events, such as Open House and New Student Orientation, to explain our organization and recruit members.
